Our Key Workers provide a single, consistent point of contact for individuals, families and their support networks. Drawing on extensive backgrounds in education, disability and Support Coordination, our Key Workers work alongside families to understand their priorities, coordinate supports and ensure everyone is working towards shared goals. Rather than simply coordinating appointments, our Key Workers take a holistic approach to capacity building. They collaborate closely with participants, families, therapists, educators, schools and other professionals to draw on data to build teams, align supports and create practical strategies that can be embedded into everyday routines. By combining developmental knowledge with educational expertise, we help bridge the gap between home, school, workplace or the community, empowering individuals and their families with the skills, confidence and support they need to achieve meaningful, long-term outcomes.
Family Capacity Building at Merge Support Services, we believe that parents and caregivers are the most important people in a participant's support network. Our Family Capacity Building service is designed to empower families with the knowledge, practical strategies and confidence to support their loved ones development beyond therapy sessions. By working in partnership with families, we create consistent approaches that can be embedded into everyday routines, leading to more meaningful and sustainable outcomes.
Our team provides individualised coaching, education and practical guidance tailored to each family's unique circumstances.
We work alongside families to build their understanding of their loved one strengths and support needs, develop strategies to navigate everyday challenges, strengthen routines, encourage independence and advocate confidently across home, education and community settings. Our goal is not simply to support the participant, but to build the capacity of the whole family to promote long-term success and participation in everyday life.

Support with the personal and practical tasks that make up everyday life, including:

Helping participants build confidence and connection out in the world:

Supporting participation in structured group programs designed to build social engagement, independence, and everyday skills alongside peers.

Practical, on-the-ground assistance for participants in supported employment, or those working toward accessing work and community-based vocational activities.

Ongoing support to reinforce and maintain practical life skills within real, natural environments — always aligned to each person's individual goals.

We know navigating an NDIS plan can be overwhelming. Our team is experienced in helping individuals and families understand and manage their plans, connect with the right services, and make sure everything works well together — so you're not doing it alone.
